I'm On a Boat!!

Last Friday night we went to visit Marc and Sarah's new arrival, Anna Jane Robson. She came 2.5 weeks early and weighed in at 6lbs 4oz. Kelly is secretly hoping for an early delivery so Chewie doesn't get to be 9 lbs like she was- we'll see how that works out. Anna is a beautiful baby and is very healthy. I didn't get a chance to hold her because someone, who will remain unnamed but sleeps in the same bed as me and shares my last name and is not named Tater, was hogging all the Anna time, but she slept and I didn't hear a single peep from her while we were there. Fingers crossed that we are so lucky. While the ladies hung out inside with the baby, the guys were out back on talking sports and occasionally mixing in some baby talk. It was great hearing from Marc how great the experience was and how amazing it is to see your child born. He was so excited and in awe and it really made me that much more excited to get this little guy here and start sharing him with everyone.

Kelly and little Anna (I think she's an Indians fan)

On Saturday we hit the lake. We hadn't been out there in a long time and it was nice to be out on the water- especially for Kelly, who really enjoyed the weightlessness of the water. We rented a pontoon boat with some of our friends and a jet ski for the more daring of the group. I served as captain for the day and Kelly was the first mate- providing excellent side seat navigation and hauling most of us to and from the lake. I grossly underestimated the choppiness of the lake when riding on the jet ski and my lower body paid the price on Sunday and Monday... and Tuesday. But we had a blast and I think Chewie is going to be a strong swimmer (I guess he's already proven that he is) because this will likely be a more regular occurrence in the future. Pictures are what you want, so here they are...

It's hard to get your lean on in a pontoon boat

Chewie's first boat ride

This either needs no explanation or a lot of explanation so I'll leave it at Chris being Chris.

Courtney and Megan hit the jetski

The guys took a break and traveled back in time a few years

Still got it... look at that form!!

Meanwhile, Kelly was floating along

And the ducks and fish were enjoying the goldfish crackers

Sunday was nothing but relaxing. This was fortunate because we were both exhausted from a day out on the water. We managed to move just enough to saunter over to our neighbor's house for dinner. I'm not sure about Kelly but I ate so much that I was in immediate need of some "Thanksgiving sweatpants".

Belly shots coming soon I promise... like tomorrow... or Sunday :)
